Welcome!

Do you see it? The one that’s unique? That’s you. That’s your story. Different. Beautiful. A sweet fragrance to God.

One of the awe inspiring things about God is how He made each of us to be like that purple aster in a field of like-minded white daisies. We’re supposed to stand out, and to give Him the glory as we do so.

Hi! I’m Shelley Ring, a wife and mom with a heart for Jesus. I love to encourage and share His Truth with my readers. Feeling discouraged, overwhelmed, lost, or anxious? Check out Psalms for Moms, where you’ll find faith, strength, hope, and Truth. Let’s search the Scriptures together and find the divine solution to our problems.

My Psalms for Moms devotional series started while I was pregnant with my youngest child. As an older mom, fear for our safety and the future gripped my thoughts and tried to choke out all reason. Relief and trust came as I wrote psalms from my momma’s heart. It was my way of confessing the Truth no matter what I felt and my life has changed as a result. I’d love to hear your story of confession and change, too!

I’m also a storyteller. The unparalleled power of story changes lives, transports people, and encourages us through the most difficult of circumstances. Good stories and strong characters stay with a person for a lifetime. There’s a reason Jesus told parables to His followers. They remembered His stories and over 2,000 years later, we’re still telling them as a way to learn, to change, and to grow.

You can find my Women’s Fiction, writing craft books, and Psalms for Moms on Amazon. Check the Fiction and Psalms for Moms pages for more information.

Besides studying the Bible, I love photography, reading good books, crafting, thrift store shopping with my mom and sister, watching movies with my husband, and listening to my babies laugh. There’s nothing better than a good baby guffaw.

Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment and let me know how I can pray for you. Until then, “I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14

    1. Thank you, Chrystal! What an honor! I’m slow in getting new posts up these days with all the commotion around me. Trying to get better, though. I appreciate your comments and thoughts on my posts. 🙂

      Blessings on you today!

    1. Rhonda, what a beautiful blessing your words are! Thank you so much. On a sidenote, I need to put an update in my Forsaken back material. I’m not posting to my WordPress account these days. I got my own site, shelleyring.com, and that’s where I write my confessions. I look forward to seeing you there! Praying you have a sweet Christmas and Happy New Year. 🙂
